Jabin Sharma, MS, BS is an advising consultant for Global Health Liaisons

Jabin Sharma is a dedicated research professional with several years of experience in Public Health Welfare and Clinical Research Administration & Coordination.  She has demonstrated ability in planning, implementing & monitoring multi-site research studies.  Adept in liaising with internal and external stakeholders.

She worked on a community-based intervention program “Integrated Project on Mother & Child Survival and Safe Motherhood Program” that was funded by the Ford Foundation, WHO, and The World Bank. The project was implemented in Chennai and three other districts in the state of Tamil Nadu, India.

As the Site Coordinator she played a Key role by assisting the Site Principal Investigator (PI) in successfully submitting and securing the Grant to the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease, U.S. NIH for the Clinical Research Site for two consecutive grant cycles: Dec 2006 – Nov 2013 & Dec 2013 – Nov 2020. During her tenure in this capacity, she served as committee member (International Site Representative Study Coordinator) in the Site Management and Clinical Care Committee for the global Adult AIDS Clinical Trials Group Network.

Jabin served in the working Group for International Study Coordinators, Adult AIDS Clinical Trials Group Network, and provided administrative support for other Grant Applications. These included, National Institutes of Health, European Commission, AMC/NCI,  International Clinical Research Grant – Kirby Institute. She also supported the Site PI in successfully implementing, managing and completing  about 40 other complex global protocols. These led to publications in Infectious Diseases Medical Journals.

She also worked in the capacity of Co-Principal Investigator for a joint study on “Socio-anthropological approach to HIV transmission from Mother to Child in India: the case of breast-feeding”. The French Institute of Pondicherry, University of Rouen, GRIS, France and the YR Gaitonde Center for AIDS Research and Education, Chennai, India.

Jabin has a Master of Health Management from the University of Wollongong, NSW, Australia. She has a Master of Science, Human Development and family Studies from University of Madras, India. Her Bachelor of Science is in Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Madras, Chennai, India. She was also a recipient of the Fogarty International Scholarship for a Poster Presentation at the XVI International AIDS Conference at Toronto, Canada. Jabin Sharma currently lives in Milton, Ontario Canada.
